Wine & Dine in the D
Proceeds Benefit CMMC and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation
The Tenth Annual Wine & Dine in the D, an evening of gourmet food, fine wine and jazz music, will take over the entire fourth floor of the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel on Thursday, October 29, 2020. This is our 10-year anniversary so expect it to be special! Wine & Dine in the D benefits the myeloma community in Metro Detroit and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), which is committed to accelerating the development of treatments for multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer.
The evening begins at 5:30 to 7:00 with a panel discussion led by some of the most prominent medical experts in multiple myeloma from around the country, and is designed to educate and inform patients and caregivers about the many new treatment options available to patients today.
The “wining and dining” commences at 6:00 and includes specialties from some of Metro Detroit’s top restaurants. In addition, guests sample selections from top Michigan and California wineries as well as Michigan craft beer and libations. Famed Detroit jazz artists Ursula Walker and the Buddy Budson Quintet are on board to provide the entertainment, while attendees enjoy the food, libations and a silent auction.
A Patron-only After-Glow Reception caps off the evening with desserts and an exceptional assortment of aged, vintage Champagne and dessert wines. The After-Glow reception is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try some of these rare Champagnes and wines. (Note: We always have some wonderful wines donated by some very special friends.)
